You have the option to additionally secure your CLICKDOC account. Two-factor authentication requires a security code in addition to your password when logging into the Account Portal as well as all CLICKDOC applications. This code is either sent to you via SMS or provided by an authenticator app.
Please note: If you lose your mobile phone or change your phone number without updating it beforehand in the two-factor authentication settings, resetting the second factor is only possible with a Super PIN. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you create a Super PIN or switch directly to the highest level of protection under “Access Protection.”
Click on “Set up Second Factor” to begin the setup process and choose from the following options:
Authentication via SMS
Click on “Add” to start the process.
Select your country code from the list (for example, +49 for Germany) and enter your mobile number in the input field to the right. Now click on “Send SMS.” A window will appear confirming that a free SMS with your personal TAN has been sent to the specified mobile number.
Click on “Next” to proceed to the next screen where you can enter the TAN.
Open the SMS on your mobile phone, enter the received TAN here, and click on “Confirm SMS TAN.” Finally, enter your password to identify yourself and click on “Verify and Activate.”
You will be redirected to the configuration homepage. The setup of your second factor is now complete and is indicated by the green checkmark next to the selected option.
Authentication via an Authenticator App
For this type of authentication, you will need an authenticator app, such as those from Google or Microsoft. Download and install one from your app store.
In the authentication options in the Account Portal, click on “Add” to start the process.
Now scan the displayed QR code with your authenticator app and enter the numbers shown in the app into the input field. Confirm the process by clicking on “Set Up.”
Enter your password to identify yourself, and click on “Verify and Activate.”
You will be redirected to the configuration homepage. The setup of your second factor is now complete and is indicated by the green checkmark next to the selected option.
Only one second factor can be active for login at any time. As soon as a second option is activated, the first configured option is automatically paused. You can switch back to this option at any time by clicking “Activate.” Alternatively, the paused option can be deleted at any time.
Change Second Factor
You can change your second factor at any time. Simply follow the instructions for setting up the second factor again, as the process for changing it is identical.
