Account Portal
The CLICKDOC Account Portal is the central hub for managing the CLICKDOC account. Here, in addition to security settings and connections to healthcare service providers, CLICKDOC accounts can also be linked to a family.
AIS
AIS is an abbreviation of the German Arztinformationssystem, which translates to Physician Information System. It is the software component primarily used by practice staff. Another name for this program is Praxisverwaltungssystem (PVS) which translates to Practice Management System.
CLICKDOC
CLICKDOC is a range of products designed to enable interaction between healthcare providers and patients. The products for healthcare providers fall under the category “CLICKDOC Pro.” Therefore, the login credentials for patients (i.e., the CLICKDOC account) cannot be used for products within “CLICKDOC Pro.”
CLICKDOC Account
The CLICKDOC account is the central login for all patient products of CGM. It provides a fully encrypted record as well as various services offered by doctors, pharmacies, or hospitals. In the past, this account was referred to as the “CGM LIFE Account.”
LIFE Client
The LIFE Client (or CGM LIFE Client) is the technical component that allows a practice to offer online services. It ensures secure communication between the AIS and the LIFE Medical Cloud.
LIFE Medical Cloud
The LIFE Medical Cloud is an encrypted data storage and communication platform for institutions in the healthcare system and patients. Communication occurs end-to-end encrypted, with only relevant metadata for data exchange processed in clear text. It provides the technological basis for products such as CLICKDOC, CGM LIFE eSERVICES, or My Health.
Combined Practice
In a combined practice, two or more contracted physicians of the same or different specialties come together to share premises, computer systems, equipment, and staff.
Otherwise, they work separately: each maintains their own patient records and treats their own patient base. Billing is also done separately. Each partner bills for the services they provide and receives their own fee for it.
The combined practice is a form of cooperation among physicians. However, the goal of a combined practice is not the joint treatment of patients, but rather the shared use of material and personnel resources to reduce costs.
Key Features:
- Separate billing
- Separate patient base
- Shared use of premises, staff, equipment, etc.
